Frequently Asked Questions

How do I create an account ?

To use the portal, it is necessary to register an account.

From the landing page, click the "Create New Account" button. This will open the account registration page.

Please provide your details here. All fields must be filled in.

It is very important that you have access to the email address you provide here, as it is the sole means to manage your account.

You may choose your User Login, alternate name or Alias for yourself. No two users may have the same email address, or the same User Login to the system.

Do not use your email address as your User Name, as the User Name will be publicly displayed, unless you want your email address public.

How do I add my load data ?

On the menu bar, navigate to [My Load Data].

At the bottom of the screen is the section [Select Cartridge to Add New Load]. Choose the cartridge you wish to add load data for, and click the button [Add New Load for selected Cartridge].

The cartridge list can be narrowed by entering part of the cartridge name in the select field.

How do I look up load data by other users ?

To search all load datai for a particular load, you need to first search for the cartridge to view the load data for. Navigate to the Cartridges landing page with the 'All Data'->'By Cartridge' menu item.

You will reach the Cartridges landing page. As a regular user, you will have a magnifying glass as an available action, which is a Search button. As an administrator, you will be able to add new cartridges. If the cartridge you require is not available, please login to the AllgunStuff Forum, and post your request on the Reloading Data Portal message board.

You will click 'Search' and be presented with a search screen.

There are 500+ cartridges defined, for 100+ calibers.

For example, you want to add load data for 10mm Auto. Type any part of the cartridge name, such as '10', into the Cartridge Name search field, and click on the 'Search' button.

To view the required cartridge, click on the small magnifying glass next to the cartridge name.

You will be shown the cartridge data, and below that in table format are the already defined loads for that cartridge.

It is recommended to use your browser function to create a bookmark at this point. You will then be able to return directly to the data list for the load, instead of first having to search for the caliber to view the data for.

At this point you may also use the 'Add Load Data' button to add new load data for the cartridge. This is also the second, more long winded method of adding load data for a cartridge.

Complete all the fields, and click on the 'Submit' button to save your data. If any required field is missing, you will get an indicator on screen for that field.

There are 2000+ bullets/moulds defined for 500+ cartridges.

For cast bullets, the mould numbers are used as the bullet name. Currently, there are moulds defined from Lee, Lyman, NOE and RCBS. For example, if you used a Lee cast bullet, type Lee into the field, and the selection will be narrowed to Lee moulds for that caliber.

If the bullet/mould/primer/brass type you require is not available, please login to the AllgunStuff Forum, and post your request to have it added on the Reloading Data Portal message board.

A successfull save looks like this

You are now able to use the same method to add velocity data for your load, if you wish. The system will average the velocities, show the ES, and the sample size.

The [bullet, powder, primer, case ] that I use is not listed !

If the bullet, powder, primer or make of brass that you require is not available, please login to the AllgunStuff Forum, and post your request to have it added on the Reloading Data Portal message board.

Turnaround time for such requests is within 24 hours.
